However, if you submit yourself to the teaching of the wise his or her wisdom will eventually rest on you also.
One must choose and run with that choice.
Jesus said, "you have not because you ask not." (Matthew 7:8)
The one who asks for something submits him or herself, to the grace of another someone who has and can give, therefore asking is a form of dependence.
"Anyone who asks receives, and anyone who seeks finds." (Luke 11:10)
The seeking and asking makes one needy and dependant on God who is gracious.
One becomes empty of self therefore hallow and ready to be filled with something much greater than the self.
"You will know the truth and the truth will make you free." (John 8:32)
"Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty." (2 Corinthians 3:17)
