Keeps the doctor away? Hardly, an apple a day keeps nothing away; if anything it can help your gut be cleared away. Read More...

Happiness derived from the bodily senses, like smell, taste, touch and sight are in many ways wonderful and if catered to for longer periods of time can be overpowering.

Addictions
Addictions take place after one exposes the bodily senses to all sorts of toxins hence the word intoxication. Toxin is not necessarily a poison it becomes harmful when repeated too often or taken in larger doses. Even Vitamin C can become a toxin. Cabbage is a great vegetable but when taken in large quantities it can produce toxins and methane, which our bodies have a hard time processing.

Isothiocyanate
This chemical group is found in cruciferous vegetables, such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts. These compounds give the flavoring to foods such as wasabi, horseradish, and mustard. Although toxic when ingested in large quantities they also have anti-cancer properties. Some isothiocyanates are also used industrially and in agriculture to control pests and diseases.

Abuse
Abuse of alcohol leads to poisoning of the largest organ in human body the liver. However, when taken moderately it disinfects and keeps in check some annoying bacteria.

Alcohol is being condemned and labeled as being evil by many Christians, but it is due to lack of self-discipline, which ought to be taught in churches. Hardly anyone teaches how to overcome any physical obstacles by building up the spiritual man encased in the physical frame, which after all, was made of the earth’s elements. These elements are living and to them other living organisms get attached and to them also others. It’s an endless struggle and upkeep. Promoting the beneficial bacteria in the fauna of our body and eliminating the detrimental is what human health is all about.

Alcohol got a bad rap because people abuse it and ruin their lives and the lives of their loved ones. Unrestrained drinking not only poisons and—when frequently repeated, giving the body no time to recover—it also kills. In colder regions of the planet alcohol has blood thinning properties, which when it comes to saving life in freezing conditions it performs the best. The Swiss St. Bernard rescue dog carries under its neck a barrel of brandy, which helps a victim exposed to severe wintery elements to overcome a chill. The blood thinning and warming effect helps the body to get back on its feet.
