Escape from the Communist Army
[More-3]
After few jokes and laughter Joseph shot out of the station and ran as fast as he could to the train station. He was nervous, thinking they might call him back any moment now, but then He thought, ‘this is miraculous and if God starts something He definitely finishes. He is the Alpha and the Omega the beginning and the end of all things.
What he needed now was the hard to get US visa. Thousands of people formed a winding queue that extended to other streets. Many slept on the sidewalks in sleeping bags just to keep their places in the line.
Joseph came before the opening of the gate and was told to sign a book in front of the US Embassy. When he saw the thousands of names already in the book he thought, "this is absolutely impossible; should I start in the supernatural and then continue on in the natural?"
He decided to collaborate with the Miracle Worker and waited for the first opportunity, which was the opening of the main gate.
Two Marines dressed up in shining uniforms marched toward the gate. As if an invisible force propelled Joseph toward the gate. The crowd made a way for him like the parting of Moses’ Red Sea; some kept asking Joseph if he was one of the special cases.
"Of course, I am the special case, please make a way, please…" Joseph kept going passed the Marines.

At the entrance door Polish guard asked for name and number. Joseph gave his name, but no number. Then the guard tried to throw him out, but Joseph had no time to lose so he remained standing, planted like a tree.
[Communism is a regime of perpetual fear and intimidation and Joseph was bout to exploit it.]
Speaking with firm, but threatening voice he said. “You do not know who I am, I can get you fired on the spot for behaving this way. This is an urgent matter; go and find out for yourself.” Joseph gave him his US friend's details and the invitation letter. Hesitantly the guard went to check Joseph’s story.
He returned smiling and very politely said, “Sir please take a seat, you will be called momentarily.”
After filling out an application he was told to return in 4 hours. When he came back the passport contained a 1½-month visa for the US.
That was nice, passport and visa, but what about the ticket money?
